The Happy Human Hub
Who we are

Our Story

Started by a mum, for her daughter, and built into a place where every Happy Human can thrive.

A joyful day at the Hub

Why we started

I'm a mum to three amazing daughters. My eldest, Morgan, lives with Jacobsen Syndrome and, like many young adults with disability, faced limited options after finishing school. She was placed in a typical disability day program, five days a week, six hours a day. But over time, it became clear the program wasn't supporting her goals or needs.

Morgan began coming home withdrawn and frustrated. Despite having 1:1 NDIS funding, her support was generic, trips to the shops, movies and bowling, with little focus on her learning or personal development. Repeated meetings changed nothing. The final straw was being told that the centre simply didn't have the time or staff to tailor support for her needs.

Something had to change, so I built a personalised program for Morgan, one that used fun, interactive activities and technology to help her learn and grow. And suddenly, she was thriving.

Opening The Happy Human Hub

Seeing Morgan's progress inspired me to think bigger. I took out a second mortgage, bought a space and created The Happy Human Hub, a place where kids and young adults with disability could learn, grow and have fun with programs designed around their interests.

My fiancé Brad and I renovated the centre ourselves, creating individual rooms to support specific goals, from sensory and gaming rooms to arts and crafts, a salon, and full kitchen and laundry facilities. Families can use the Hub with their own support worker, or book support through our team.

We focus on edutainment, interactive activities that encourage learning without pressure. Participants build confidence, communication and life skills in an engaging and meaningful way.

Everything we do is about supporting connection, confidence and personal growth. We help kids prepare for life as teenagers and young adults, one step at a time. If you'd like to learn more or take a look around, give us a call at (02) 4965 8554, we're always happy to chat.
